On various levels, the new huts are beautifully conceived. Spacious yet cosy, each has a clean and inviting feel, with the pastel colours and classic feel borrowed from a beach hut. Each is delightfully different, with hand-picked furniture and lovely design features; at the next turn you could be greeted by anything from a giant-sized champagne cork chair to a sublime piece of local art. Luxurious but refreshingly good fun we think, with beautiful views and not a hint of stuffiness.

Just as important, however, are the beach huts' green and locally-sourced credentials. Materials such as Cornish stone have been selected for quality and durability as much as their beauty; meanwhile a range of other features are designed to make the most of the elements, save energy and minimise our carbon footprint. After all, we believe that luxury needn't have to come at the cost of the environment.
