Part of the South West Coast Path, Babbacombe is a place of hidden coves and secret hideaways. Surprisingly rural and rugged, cliffs of rich red Devon sandstone tower above golden beaches and scattered stones. Whether you prefer adrenaline or total relaxation, there are plenty of things to do in Babbacombe. Crystal clear waters bathe in the warmth of the gulf stream. The walking is superb. Pebble skimming, beachcombing and bracing dips. Rib rides and scuba diving. Sea fishing for species such as mackerel, dogfish and colourful wrasse. This is a place ripe for discovery.

Further up the hill are the small villages of Babbacombe and St Marychurch. Enjoy the world famous fish and chips sat on the Downs looking out to sea. Nostalgic and with a sense of romance. Outside the quaint shops, cafes and bakeries, small tables and chairs line the pavements. A continental feel with a real English twist - enjoy a pot of tea for two and some fresh baked scones. An altogether quieter alternative to the bustle of Torquay. Tennis courts in the park, the old famous Babbacombe Theatre and a very rare cliff railway. The perfect backdrop for ice creams, laughter and fond memories.
