Babbacombe Watersports

Buckfast Abbey

Situated in a peaceful location on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Buckfast is a living Abbey Church and Monastery. Consistently voted as one of Devon’s top attractions, the Abbey, near Torquay, provides a place of beauty, tranquility and spiritual nourishment.

Kents Cavern

Paignton Zoo Woodlands Family Theme Park

Golf

Located over 800 feet above sea level with magnificent views of Dartmoor and the Jurassic coastline, the Teignmouth Golf Club is just a short drive from The Cary Arms & Spa.

The beautifully manicured course is a 6082-yard, 18-hole par 69 from the white tees and 71 from the yellow tees with two convenient loops of 9 and a blend of interesting par 3s, 4s and 5s.

The course features some of the distinct characteristics of a MacKenzie-designed course, including two loops of nine holes, undulating fairways, a mix of long par fours, drive and pitch holes and six par threes, and outstanding course conditioning.

The attractive clubhouse overlooks the golf course and provides the perfect place to relax after a game with superb amenities, a restaurant and bar. The fully stocked pro-shop includes famous brands such as Titleist and Callaway and has golf carts, electric trolleys and pull-trolleys available for hire.

Classic Sailing Yacht Trips

Discover the stunning South Devon coast on board the classic wooden sailing yacht, Escape.

Built in 1937 by Kristensen in Norway and originally designed as a sailing lifeboat, Escape was refined by her owners to make her slightly smaller and easier to sail. Escape is a 43-foot wooden classic gaff yawl, fully MCA coded to carry 8 passengers plus 2 crew.

Help to set the sails, coil the ropes and steer her or simply sit back and watch the world go by!

Overnight Sailing

Experience the ultimate adventure with an overnight sail on Escape for up to 4 people. Hire includes 2 days sailing with an overnight stop. Departure at 10 am - return around 3 pm (times are flexible). The rate is £255 per person, including breakfast and lunch. You can dine out or have dinner onboard for £25 per person.

Sailing trips take place from the beginning of April to the end of October

Sailings are weather dependent but could range from a short sail to Teignmouth and back, into Torbay or to Brixham and back.
